Is the program backed by the US Government?

Yes, the employment-based visa is a USCIS immigration program and results in your permanent U.S. residency. You can read more about this process at the following government link.

How long is the employment based process?

The length of the process will vary case by case as this is a governmental process and every case is different. In our experience an employment based program can take anywhere from 12 to 36 months.

Is this a Green Card lottery program?

No, this is not a lottery program. Each application is evaluated individually by USCIS.


Does the employment-based visa include my whole family?

Yes, each employment-based visa will grant residency to the immediate family of the visa recipient (wife or husband and children under the age of 21).


When will I get my green card?

You will receive your green card before you begin employment.


Does this employment-based visa grant permanent residency?

Yes. The employment-based visa program will grant permanent residency to the recipients.


Can I travel outside the USA after being hired by the sponsor?

Yes. The employment-based visa grants you permanent residence, which means you will have all the benefits of U.S. Citizens except for voting rights.

Will I have to get my own lawyer?

GER will refer you to a lawyer that has extensive knowledge on the sponsor chosen by you. GER does not give legal advice and does not render immigration services.
